LOUISIANA COOPERATIVE MARINE SPORT FISH TAGGING PROGRAM
The department urges interested anglers to sign up for the Louisiana Cooperative Marine Sport Fish Tagging Program. Through this program, volunteer anglers provide information that is difficult, often impossible, and expensive to obtain by other means. The target species for LDWF's tagging program are red drum "redfish" and spotted seatrout "speckled trout." For additional information, interested anglers can visit www.taglouisiana.com. To date, over 1,000 fish have been tagged through the Louisiana Saltwater Series!

Register early and save. Pre-registration fees are provided. A $20.00 fee for all day of tournament registrants will be incurred per team. Only checks will be accepted for onsite registrants.
The Louisiana Saltwater Series was developed by the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries in conjunction with the Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries Foundation to promote the conservation of Louisiana's sport fish resources. Through this catch-and release saltwater fishing series, LDWF strives to enhance the resource while providing a competitive opportunity for avid fishermen and newcomers alike.
The 2012 Louisiana Saltwater Series will be comprised of 13 fishing events and will target the tag and release of redfish, speckled trout, yellowfin tuna and tarpon. Data collected from the tournament entries will serve as a valuable tool for LDWF fisheries managers and biologists to better understand the life history and habitat of sport fish.
With low entry fees, our tournaments allow anglers to fish close to home and compete for cash prizes while simultaneously giving back to the resource through tag and release fishing.
100% PAYOUT, PLUS LOADS OF PRIZES
Louisiana Saltwater Series is a grassroots-based tournament that provides anglers with the opportunity to give back to the resource. The tournament is a 100% payout series. Payout is determined on an individual event based upon the number of boats entered.
